FACTS ABOUT HYPNOSIS
"Our life is what our thoughts make it."
Marc Aurelius
What percentage of your DECISIONS and thoughts are UNCONSCIOUS?
What do you think?
Neuroscientific findings show that around 95% of our thought proscesses and decisions are unconscious (depending on the study, this number varies between 90 and 99.9%). So that means that 95% of our time we LET OUR SUBCONSCIOUS TAKE THE WHEEL.
CONSCIOUSNESS is a LUXURY - the brain switches to autopilot as often as it can.
And studies show that our behavior can be measurably influenced by unconscious stimuli. As a result, thought patterns quickly creep in that are not useful to us.
And your SUBCONSCIOUS has always STORED EVERY single MOMENT.
It is not easy to get close enough to yourself to be able to transform your subconscious (again).
Hypnosis is a SCIENTIFICALLY BASED PROCEDURE that allows you to easily access your subconscious mind to access your inner world.
HOW OFTEN do you think you have been in a HYPNOTIC STATE?
Hypnosis is a NATURAL PROCESS or state.
We experience the hypnotic trance several times a day: everyone is hypnotized AT LEAST TWICE A DAY, before getting up and while falling asleep. But also while driving or watching television.

YOU WILL NOT LOSE CONTROL - YOU WILL FINALLY TAKE CONTROL (AGAIN).
Hypnosis is not brainwashing. And no secrets are revealed in hypnosis.
A hypnosis session is actually a self-hypnosis session. You always remain master of the situation. You only do or say what you really want.
Hypnosis is TEAMWORK
If you don't really want the change, hypnosis won't help you. I accompany you in hypnosis, help you find the solution for you. You need to have the right attitude.
Hypnosis is NOT MAGIC
I can't do magic or make your feelings, fears or other symptoms disappear with a "flick on the wrist", even if hypnotists sometimes present it that way in shows.
Other MYTHS that I would like to clarify:
-
Hypnosis is not sleep, it merely takes place in a state of mental relaxation
-
You can lie in a hypnotic trance (selectively increased brain activity - therefore selectively increased creativity)
-
You cannot get stuck in a hypnotic trance (Esdaile State)
-
You don't have to believe in hypnosis to be hypnotized
-
Brain activity in hypnotic trance differs from the conscious waking state
-
There are different trance depths. They can be measured using the frequency bands of alpha, theta and delta brain waves
-
The depth of a hypnotic trance can only rarely be perceived by the client
-
In most cases, even a slight depth of trance is sufficient to achieve significant improvements
-
Auditory perception is usually not impaired during hypnosis, the client can hear the therapist at all times (except when deep trance is required for anesthesia)
-
Memory is not impaired after hypnosis (except for deep trance required for anesthesia)
